819 RCACS cadets will participate in Exercise “Fall Back”, to be conducted at Columbia Valley Area C, Chilliwack 13-15 Oct 2017. This exercise is classified as a Mandatory Training exercise for all Level 1, and 2 Cadets.
The cadets will be going to the following location – Columbia Valley Training Site – Area C. Columbia Valley Training Site is located within Cultas Lake Provincial Park.
CADETS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE AT 819 LHQ North Delta Rec Centre LHQ Friday Oct 13th at 1730hrs (5:30), and are to be picked up Sunday October 15th 2017 at 1600 hrs (4pm) at 819 LHQ. Please ensure your cadet has eaten dinner before you drop them off.
Please download, print and sign a copy of the permission slip. This permission slip is to be returned no later than TUESDAY 10 Oct 2017.
Please download, print and pack your gear according to the Kit List.
Further details for Level 1 cadets (New Entries) will be discussed with the cadets and their parents closer to the FTX.

Parade Positions: Cadets that are interested in a parade position. Tryouts will be held 15 SEP 17 1900hrs-2100hrs at the Whalley Legion Annex. 13525 106 Avenue Surrey BC. There will be a parade practice for those selected on the 16th 1000hrs-1130hrs with location to be determined at the try outs. Dress for tryouts is C2A

September 17th, 2017 – Boundary Bay Airport
LCol. (ret) Maryse Carmichael Honourary President of the Air Cadet League of Canada has been invited to be our Reviewing Officer
Confirmed flying activities include the RCAF, a Harvard Mark II and the Fraser Blues 3-aircraft Demonstration Team. Planned static displays for after the Parade include: locally-owned Harvards and Stearman Bi-plane, Air Cadet C-182 Tow-plane and glider.
Additional details will be provided for cadet timings etc., closer to the date.
819 Skyhawk Squadron will be conducting an exercise focused around leadership, leadership tasking’s, and instruction to help develop the senior cadets of the Squadron. Additionally the exercise will help to establish camaraderie within the senior cadet ranks and elevate overall “espirit de corps”.
Exercise “WE LEAD” will be held Saturday 09 September 0830 to 1730 hrs and Sunday 10 September 0830 to 1600 hrs at 819 LHQ, North Delta Rec Center. Cadets will be required to be in attendance both days.
Please see the attached Warning Order for further details and list of cadet candidates. Please mark this on your calendars now so that you are available.
Questions about the exercise will be entertained by Major MacDonald on Tuesday September 5th.
819 will be returning to cadets for the 2017-2018 training year on Tuesday September 5th, 2017.
Dress of the day: C2B – Summer Dress
Your First Step New Entry Training Weekend will be held Saturday September 30, and Sunday October 1st, 2017. This is mandatory for all new entry cadets enrolled with 819 Skyhawk.
Location: North Delta Rec Centre—Gymnasium
Time: 0900 hrs (9:00 am) to 1600 hrs (4pm)
Dress: Comfortable clothing—sports gear is Okay
Please bring a water bottle, note book and pen.
Lunch will be provided both days
A parents meeting/ question and answer session will be held Saturday morning for approximately 1 hour. Please be prepared to stay when you bring your cadet to the building.
The Squadron will be accepting new recruits / enrollments as of Tuesday September 19th, 2017 at the North Delta Recreation Centre at 6:30 pm.
