Area Directed FTX

The Lower Mainland Area will be conducting single-day, no overnight, Spring FTX ADAs on 11, 12, 18, and 20 May 2024. Cadets in levels 1-4 can register for in each of the 5 dates. Level 5 cadets are invited to register as staff. 

Registration deadline for all FTX ADAs is 21 Apr 24;

Cadets are to self-register via Microsoft Forms submission by logging into your 365 account and then completing the registration:  https://forms.office.com/r/AypKZFd7fn

Cadets that are not able to self-register can ask Sqn staff member with to sign up with by emailing 819air@cadets.gc.ca with you name and date(s)

Senior Cadets interested in providing support to FTX ADAs are to complete the form on Teams, submission deadline is 21 Apr 24: https://forms.office.com/r/vT2gUTFAy7

Cadets can expect to learn wilderness and aircrew survival skills to include, but not limited to:

  1. shelters;
  2. fires;
  3. survival psychology; and
  4. navigation.

Saturday 18 May 24 – 0700-1700, Deas Island Regional Park

Monday 20 May 24 – 0700-1700, Matsqui Trail Regional Park

Food and Transportation

Lunch will be provided for all participating personnel; Dietary restrictions will be captured in the registration forms.

Transportation will be the responsibility of the Cadet’s parent/guardian to arrange drop off and pick up at the activity location, or the bus pick up.
