Air Cadets are not members of the Canadian Forces, however, we are sponsored by the Department of National Defence in partnership with the Air Cadet League of Canada.
What Are the Requirements to Join?
There are certain eligibility requirements to join. To be eligible for membership as a Cadet you must:
- Be a resident of Canada;
- Be at least 12 years of age and not have attained 19 years of age;
- Provide proof of provincial health number, insurance coverage or equivalent.
- Not belong to another cadet group (you can transfer).
When Can I Join?
Typically the best time to join is in September. Applications are accepted from September to November 10.
How Do I Join?
Go to the Online Registration Tool to begin your process! Before starting your online application ensure you have this information ready: your health card, the address and phone numbers of all parents/guardians. Throughout the application, the word “parent” refers to all individuals who hold parental authority over the applicant.
