May 2-4; Cadets who signed up for the FTX are to meet at the Rec Center at 16:30 with all their kit. The bus will leave at 17:00hrs. Any medication must be clearly labeled with the cadet’s name and in a zip lock bag. Once we arrive on site cadets will build their shelters for the night. Below is the recommended kit list. Pick up on Sunday a the Rec Center at 13:00hrs.
Field Training Uniforms are the recommended clothes to be worn for the FTX. Bring Rain Gear (in case of rain)
• Personal Toiletries (Deodorant, Toothbrush, Cloth, Soap)
• Underwear x2
• Socks, including warm for night
• Warm pants
• T-shirt x2
• Sweater / Hoodie for cold nights
• Secure Footwear (FTU or Hiking boots)
• Hat
• Flashlight (in well working condition)
• Sleeping bag
• Air mattress/Foamy
• Canteen or Water bottle
• Travel mug (for hot beverages)
• Tarp (optional)
• Pillow (optional)
• Sunscreen and Bug Spray
Kit must be brought in a suitable BAG that the cadet can carry without assistance. Hiking
bags and duffel bags are recommended. Cadets can bring a cell phone but we may not have cell coverage on site.
